The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) is the largest national sponsor of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).  As the greatest contributor to MDA, fire fighters are everywhere in the efforts to raise money.  The IAFF is the biggest sponsor of MDA’s Labor Day Telethon and it contributed a record breaking $27.5 million in year 2008.  Every Labor Day weekend, fire fighters from Local 37 greet motorists, shoppers and others and ask them to donate money to MDA and Fill-the-Boot.

The total raised by Local #37, for the 2008 Fill-the-Boot drive was $10,483.  Nation wide the IAFF collected $27.5 Million.
